This 5 Peaks event in Terwillegar Park is the first event in the Northern Alberta race series.
The popular Terwillegar Park, located in Southwest Edmonton, is 186 hectares of rugged terrain. A challenging trail system, you can expect many technical sections that demand agility and alertness to overcome their variety of obstacles. Watch out for roots, rocks, and sharp up/down hills along the way!
The name of the game at Terwillegar is LIMITED PASSING. The courses are mostly single-track, so you’ll have to be quick to pass and watch out for bottlenecks! After the first 2 km, the rest of the course will keep you on your toes with mostly single-track trail with plenty of turns and sharp hills.
The trail race features a variety of distances, including the 7.3 km Sports Course and the 15.3 km Enduro Course. The event also has a couple of options for the kids -- the 1 km Children's Challenge and the 3 km Timed Kids' Race. Fun trail running for everyone!
