Featuring a Half Marathon, 8k and 3k this is a running event for the whole family! The annual Olympia Lakefair Races are part of weekend-long running festival that features a Half Marathon, 8K and 3K; taking runners on routes that will circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Lacey and Tumwater.
The event starts at Heritage Park in Olympia and from there heads briefly through downtown and along running, biking and walking trails within Olympia including the Chehalis Western Trail. Runners will enjoy tree-lined trails, scenic landscapes while enjoying flat and narrow paved trails throughout.
Once runners have completed the course, they can enjoy festival activities that are held all around the large city park including food and beer tents, carnival rides booths and more.
Run Pick of the Month - Galloping Gertie
Showcasing the best views of the Pacific Northwest, take part in a half marathon, 10K, or 5K on August 3, 2024.
Each race crosses the iconic Tacoma Narrows Bridge, known as Galloping Gertie, offering stunning views of the Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, the Olympic Mountains, and the surrounding cities of Tacoma and Gig Harbor.
Take part in one of the few races that go from one end of the bridge to the other. Plus, receive a custom finisher medal, free downloadable race photos, and a cool tech tee!
