Race Information

The Wisconsin Lakeside Half Marathon & 5K (formerly the Rockin Brews Marathon) starts with the races and ends with the annual Monona Chili Cook-Off. Participants will be able to enjoy live music, drinks, food from local vendors, and of course, chili. 

The Half Marathon course follows paved paths and tree-covered streets along the shores of beautiful Lake Monona, providing cooler temperatures throughout 75% of the course. Trees along the course will display their fall foliage as the leaf colors begin to transition. Runners will be able to view the beautiful Madison skyline throughout the course, and around mile 6, will run under the Frank Lloyd Wright Monona Terrace Convention Center.   

The 5K course follows paved roads through the lovely neighborhoods surrounding Winnequah Park.

All participants will receive an official Wisconsin Lakeside Half Marathon & 5K race shirt, a cool finisher medal, and much more..
