Chickamauga Battlefield Races

Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, United States

Nov 14, 2026 - Saturday

5k, Half-marathon, Marathon

Race Information

The Chickamauga Battlefield Races (Marathon, Half Marathon) is run inside our nationโ€™s oldest and largest National Military Park, the Chickamauga Battlefield. Run on paved (asphalt) with gentle rollers through mostly shaded forests and fields. You are surrounded by fall colors, cool temperatures, monuments, deer, and turkey.

Both are voted the Best Marathon and Half Marathon in Georgia, the new certified courses both are also the RRCA Georgia State Championship distances for 2026. Our events offer a one-of-a-kind experience with rich history, stunning natural scenery, peak fall colors, ideal temps, a dozen pace groups, 6.5 hour time limit, custom SWAG, homemade finish-line food, virtual tracking, a signature cannon start, and easy access without the hassles of oversized races.
