South Park Trail Marathon & Half
Race Information
Starting at an elevation of 9,915 feet and topping out at 13,183 feet, the South Park 38-Mile, Heavy Marathon, and Heavy Half are among the highest in Colorado. Marathoners run from the South Park Historical District to the top of Horseshoe Pass. Witness firsthand the terrain that prospectors experienced during the great Colorado Gold Rush. Oxygen is not required to enjoy the raging creeks, historic mines, and the scramble above the treeline after all. Half marathoners can enjoy Human Potential Running Series’ fastest half, sprinkled with deceptive rolling terrain on a mixture of dirt roads and forest double track. You'll be questioning the elevation map in your pocket. This race is a good introduction to what HPRS is all about, overcoming #Adversity, and growing from the experience.
