The Cherry Blossom Run will have everyone at Seward Park - the stunning location of the first ever cherry blossoms planted in Seattle - to explore the beautiful blooms along Lake Washington! Seward Park is where Seattle’s cherry blossom story began. Back in 1929, it became home to the city’s first cherry trees—a gift from Japan symbolizing friendship. The half marathon stretches along Lake Washington, while the 5k and 10k wind through the park’s lush, scenic paths.
