Miles for Migraine will host its annual 2-mile Walk and 5K run event at Montrose Beach in Chicago. This event is a fundraiser for migraine/headache disease treatment & research. Registration is free! The 5k run course is professionally planned, and chip timed. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal. There will be trophies for the top 3 male, top 3 female and top 3 non binary 5K finishers. Awards will also be given to the largest fundraiser, largest team and person with the best purple flair (purple is the official color for migraine awareness)!

For 46 years, runners of all levels and abilities have supported Lincoln Park Zoo with Run for the Zoo. This run makes it easy for anyone from casual runners to elite athletes help support their favorite species at the zoo and save them in the wild.

The 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk courses are U.S.A. Track & Field-certified and chip-timed for experienced athletes. All finishers receive a unique animal-themed medal along with a race shirt.

Run for the Zoo is also designed to accommodate every member of the family, so you can make a day of it. The Kids’ Course is perfect for kids ages 2–7, who can run, climb, and crawl over playful obstacles on the South Lawn.
