Run Like Hell 5K
Race Information
The largest cemetery run in the country, Run Like Hell, is one of Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood 5K fundraisers. All proceeds from the run goes to the restoration and preservation of Historic Oakland Cemetery. A suggested 5K route map inside the Cemetery will be provided for those wanting to have the real Run Like Hell experience.
All runners will receive a commemorative Run Like Hell 5K t-shirt and will have the chance to win awards and prizes. Historic Oakland Foundation members receive a discount on their Run Like Hell entry. Runners, joggers, and walkers of all levels are welcome. Leashed dogs and strollers are always welcome in the cemetery.
Beginner Runner Training Plan
Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!
The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).
None to Run is different from most beginner plans:
- Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
- Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
- Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.
If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.
Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
