Race Information

The Turkey Trot STL 5k is a Thanksgiving race happening simultaneously in Downtown St. Louis and nearby areas including St. Charles, Eureka, and Arnold. The run is held in support of local food pantries, and participants are requested to bring a canned food item for donation when picking up their race number.

The USATF-certified 5k course in Arnold is flat, fast, and scenic.  Keep a look out for turkeys and other wildlife throughout the course!  There's also a 1/2-mile Youth Race that runs the first and last 1/4 miles of the 5k course.  Wheelchair racers may opt to join the Turkey Trot STL in Downtown St. Louis or in St.Charles, which have a wheelchair-friendly or course.

Beginner Runner Training Plans

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

In 3 workouts of 30 minutes or less per week, None to Run will take you from ground zero to running comfortably for 25 minutes straight.

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
