Friends of The Poor 5K Walk/Run - Nashville
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Friends of the Poor 5K Walk & Run is a family friendly virtual walk/run event to raise funds to serve our neighbors in need and to feed the hungry—those living within the city of Nashville and those residing in the smaller, nearby communities.
The Society provides assistance to those in need in several ways. We meet with our neighbors to provide funds to pay utilities and rent, bring food to the homeless, help people find housing and provide funds for medical care. Its mission statement is "A network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need."
