Race Information

It’s a summer tradition. Runners and race walkers from all over the Metroplex gather Thursday evenings Downtown Fort Worth to run and walk 5000 meters ( 5K or 3.1 miles). Whether you are a competitive runner, mid-pack runner, jogger or walker everyone has a good time.

See some old friends and make new ones. It’s the summer place for active people and way cooler than television reruns. It’s also a family event with a free 1k Kids Fun Run.

After the race, adults can meet informally under the trees for the infamous Arbor Society (formerly the Bridge Club). We don’t plant trees or collect leaves, but socialize and exaggerate our running abilities. Bring your lawn chair and cooler.

Beginner Runner Training Plan

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
