Race Information

The Silverton Alpine Runs, organized by Aravaipa Running, offer a high-altitude trail running experience in Colorado's San Juan Mountains. Participants can choose from a 50K, marathon, or 8-mile course, all starting and finishing in the historic town of Silverton. The routes traverse the renowned Alpine Loop jeep roads, passing through ghost towns like Howardsville, Eureka, Animas Forks, and Gladstone, with the 50K and marathon reaching California Pass at 12,930 feet. The 8-mile option provides a scenic out-and-back to Howardsville.

This run, together with the Kendall Mountain Run, also from Aravaipa Running Colorado, is part of the Mountain Duo Challenge.
