One of the city's premier races, the San Diego Half Marathon is an extremely popular, scenic half marathon and 5k run that happens right in the city each year. Participants can expect a destination-worthy course that will take them through downtown San Diego and along sections of the waterfront.

The run regularly attracts a large field of runners from complete beginners to world-class athletes, and has a cap of 7,500 participants. Runners have the option to choose the half marathon (solo or team scoring) or the 5k.
