Back the Blue Pump N Run
Race Information
Pump and Run or Walk to Back the Blue. A participant's score will be based on a combination of how many times he/she can bench press a percentage of their body weight (see weight charts posted on the Facebook page for this event) & their 5K race time.
Pump and Run athletes can weigh in and lift at a designated time on race day. To calculate a participant's score, an athlete will reduce their 5K run time by 30 seconds for each successful lift (maximum 30 reps for a maximum of 15-minute reduction. Participants may also just run or walk in the 5k portion of the event.
