Race Information
The Prince Edward County Marathon, or "The County Marathon", has been an annual event since 2003. Both the Marathon and Half Marathon are point to point routes with the Marathon starting in Wellington, passing through Bloomfield before finishing in Picton, Ontario. These towns have graciously hosted, supported and attracted volunteers and spectators along this scenic route making it the “County Way”. The Half Marathon will start just outside our famous Sandbanks Provincial Park before finishing in Picton, Ontario.
Both Marathon and Half Marathon courses are Athletic Canada Certified Courses (ACCC) – Accurate qualifier for world-wide marathons, including the famous North American Boston Marathon. Imagine the thrill of qualifying while running your race in the stunning, let’s not say…breathtaking scenery of the County!
Run the County roads while transcending into the depths of pristine waterline views, rolling hillsides, farmland, historic energy, while breathing in crisp clean Prince Edward County air that will propel you towards your ultimate goal of personal best completion. This is a fast, flat scenic route that you will cherish to the core. Make the County Marathon your choice to compete and qualify for Boston while you are enjoying the tourist attractions and events.
