Wisconsin's oldest long-distance race is hosting a 4-mile fun run. Wo-Zha-Wa is a Ho-Chunk term that means "to have fun." In that spirit, the race will be a fun run with a clock posted at the start/finish line. No chip timing or results posting. The race starts and finishes at JustAgame Fieldhouse in Downtown Dells at 200 LaCrosse St. The original 4-mile route will be utilized. All registrants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag.
Beginner Runner Training Plan
Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!
The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).
None to Run is different from most beginner plans:
- Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
- Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
- Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.
If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.
