Come start a new Thanksgiving weekend tradition with a fast, mostly-flat half marathon, 10K or 5K! The Little Turkeys Race (about 100 yards or so) is free to all children brought with race participants. Once again, we are also holding a food drive benefiting Alameda County Food Bank and are encouraging all participants (including little turkeys) to bring at least one canned good on race morning.
All races begin and end at Quarry Lakes Recreational Area, with the 10K and half marathon races going out along the Alameda Creek Trail. Trails are primarily fire trails with short paved sections.
Run Pick of the Month - The Donut Fun Run
Enjoy a timed, donut-themed 5k race on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Taking part at Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Promenade, you'll run past epic views of San Francisco Bay and the Seaplane Lagoon Naval Ships.
Celebrate post-run with the Donut Festival, featuring live music, live entertainment including The Dancing Donuts, food booths, wine and beer, photo ops, and of course, donuts from Donut Petit.
Battle it out after the race in the donut eating contest, with the first prize winner taking away $1000! You must have completed the race to enter!
