Race Information

Part of the largest 5K run/walk series in the world, this USATF-certified course is very popular. It runs around Edina’s beautiful Lake Cornelia and begins and ends near the Southdale Center.

Started to promote early detection of breast cancer, the Komen Race for the Cure is an emotionally charged event that attracts many first-timers and recreational runners. First held in the Twin Cities in 1993, the race has grown from 2,500 runners to nearly 40,000 in recent years as runners take the time to celebrate, run and raise awareness on Mother's Day.
