Great Trail Race
Race Information
The Great Trail Race is an epic point-to-point route between Truckee and Tahoe City, CA, that you can either mountain bike or trail run.
Choose one of two courses, Elite or Classic. Both the Elite and Classic Courses start in Truckee and finish at the Highlands Community Center (also known as Tahoe Cross Country) 925 Country Club Dr, Tahoe City, CA 96145.
The Classic Course features a route through the Tahoe National Forest on fire roads and trails approximately 17.9 miles or 28.8 kilometers.
The Elite Course features technical segments on the Tahoe Rim Trail, Tevis Trail, and Sawtooth Trail, approximately 21.55 miles or 34.7 kilometers and has approximately 3000′ of ascent. The Elite course adds in more technically challenging terrain and distance.
Make the event the goal of your summer training, then dig deep and beat your age-group rivals. Or set your own pace and enjoy a beautiful Tahoe mountain bike ride or trail run through the Sierra forest.
