Calabogie Peaks Trail Run - Spartan Trail
Race Information
The Spartan Trail Races are a series of off-road running events that take place around the world. Participants of all levels are invited to tackle a range of distances and terrains, from 10K to ultra-marathon distances, with obstacles such as steep inclines, rocky paths, and mud pits. These races offer a unique challenge that requires endurance, strength, and mental fortitude. With events taking place in some of the world's most stunning locations, the Spartan Trail Races offer runners the chance to push their limits while experiencing nature's beauty. The event is by the same company that started the popular Spartan Race series of obstacle course races.
Calabogie Peaks is the tallest public ski resort in Ottawa, situated at the base of Dickson mountain and at the shore of Lake Calabogie. Here Spartan Trail racers will find an excellent mix of wooded singletrack trails, some technical running, and plenty of climbs with beautiful views over the lake. Racers should plan to stick around after the race to visit one of the local microbreweries and explore the lake on a pontoon boat!
This weekend also features Spartan Obstacle Course Races.
