The 1st LT Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund holds its Annual Flag Day 5K walk or run road race at Cashman Park in Newburyport, MA.

The race honors 1st LT Derek Hines and provides financial assistance for Massachusetts soldiers and their families who have incurred serious, career-ending, and life-altering injuries while on active duty. All registrants will receive a commemorative Flag Day 5K medal and event performance t-shirt. Registration options include a standard registration, registration for Veterans/Active Duty personnel, a virtual option, and the 1st Lt. registration, which includes limited-edition race swag.
