Race Information
Join the Cloudcroft Ultra 53k, 9.5 mile, 4.75 mile and a 1 mile Kid's Dash trail races in the beautiful Sacramento Mountains in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Cloudcroft is located at an altitude of 8600' in the southern most part of the Rocky Mountain chain.
The 53k, 9.5 & 4.75 mile races are an out an back on the Rim Trail (T105). The Rim Trail was the first U.S. Forest Service Trail in New Mexico to be designated as a National Recreation Trail. It is a combination of old Indian paths, railroad grades, homestead trails and logging routes linked together by newer section built in the 1960’s and beyond. The majority of the trail passes through shaded stands of fir, pine and quaking aspen. At various points along the route there are spectacular views of the Tularosa Basin over 4,000’ below. The 53k will have a nice surprise for you in the lollipop loop at the turn around point - incredible views, and some nice changes in elevation!! the Kid's Dash will be a 1 mile loop around Zenith park.
All races will start and finish at the Pavilion in Zenith Park in Cloudcroft, New Mexico.
