Race Information

Run for Rachel is a fundraiser being held to show the community’s love to the family of Rachel Cox, an 11th grader at Tulpehocken High School. Rachel's life was tragically cut short in a car accident in January 2022. She was a daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, honor student, and STELLAR athlete, including being an avid runner. The community hopes that this run encompasses all that Rachel loved as well as to show the Cox family how much they mean to the community. All proceeds will go to a scholarship in Rachels's name, as well as a portion to the Bernville Fire Company.

Beginner Runner Training Plans

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

In 3 workouts of 30 minutes or less per week, None to Run will take you from ground zero to running comfortably for 25 minutes straight.

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
