R5K Recovery Run/Walk
Race Information
Every September, National Recovery Month is observed to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can empower those living with these diseases to live healthy and rewarding lives. Running for over 30 years now, Recovery Month celebrates those living in recovery.
In honor of Recovery Month, NRAP is hosting its Recovery 5k run/walk and celebration to promote community health and wellness, celebrate individuals who identify in recovery, and reduce the stigma often associated with the disease of addiction. The 5k event will provide an opportunity for participants to walk/run in honor of someone they know touched by this disease.
