Everyday Hero 5K
Race Information
This annual run celebrates the Everyday Hero. In past races, they've honored veterans, first responders, small business owners, kids, runners of all levels, and awesome volunteers who give their time in their community. That’s what this run is all about – celebrating the Everyday Hero. So, really, it's much more than a race!
Everyday Hero is a fun, family friendly 5k Run and 1-Mile Walk dedicated to the memory of Jerome Rodio, an Oxford man whose great deeds and selfless acts helped bring together the community of Oxford, PA! More than a great citizen, Jerome was a fun, adventurous Dad & Grandpop! Run (or walk) the scenic course through beautiful Nottingham Park!
Beginner Runner Training Plan
Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!
The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).
None to Run is different from most beginner plans:
- Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
- Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
- Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.
If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.
Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
