Race Information
The Pink Lady Walk 5K walk and race will start and finish at Big Spring Memorial Park (Duck Pond) in Athens, AL. The distance is 3.22 miles. This beautiful scenic route will take you past the historic Founders Hall at Athens State University built in 1822 and beautiful historic homes on Beaty Street.
Pink Lady Walk promotes breast cancer awareness and education, but its primary focus is raising funds for breast cancer patients and their families to assist them with emerging and unexpected expenses. Since 2014, PLW has raised funds for 15 breast cancer survivors, the Hospice of Limestone County, and the Cancer Center of Huntsville, AL. Their mission is to help alleviate some of the financial burdens caused by breast cancer.
