Woven between the famed Chicago lakefront and skyline, the Chi Town Half Marathon and 10K tours through Lincoln Park on USATF certified courses. Aid stations and plenty of toilets will be provided along the course. Event times, dates, location and all other details are subject to change prior to the event. Want a unique animal themed medal? Run for the Zoo can make that happen on June 2, 2024.
For 46 years, runners of all levels and abilities have supported Lincoln Park Zoo with Run for the Zoo. This run makes it easy for anyone from casual runners to elite athletes help support their favorite species at the zoo and save them in the wild.
The 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk courses are U.S.A. Track & Field-certified and chip-timed for experienced athletes. All finishers receive a unique animal-themed medal along with a race shirt.
Run for the Zoo is also designed to accommodate every member of the family, so you can make a day of it. The Kids’ Course is perfect for kids ages 2–7, who can run, climb, and crawl over playful obstacles on the South Lawn.
