Light Horse Ultra
Race Information
At the Light Horse Ultra, runners participate in a 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24-hour race at Yellagonga Regional Park in Woodvale, Western Australia. The event is part of the Ultra Series WA series and honors the over 100,000 Australians who have lost their lives while serving the country and the more than 1 million people who have served or are currently serving.
The Lighthorse Ultra is an event that captures an atmosphere like no other running event you have ever been a part of. The annual dawn service in the fields of Perry’s Paddock has the crisp morning air pierced with the eerie horn playing the last post and reveille before runners tackle their chosen events on a 2.5k circuit of limestone, boardwalk, and asphalt.
The event offers free entry to all past and present service men and women, regardless of nationality, as a humble way of saying thanks. They are joined by hundreds of other runners from the community.
