Race Information
"Flat, fast & festive!" Toronto Waterfront Marathon is the Grand Finale and signature event of the Canada Running Series. This race attracts a very large field of over 25,000 runners each year.
It is Canada's #1 big-city, world marathon and one of only five North American marathons to hold a prestigious IAAF Gold Label (Boston, New York, Chicago, and Ottawa are the other four).
it currently holds the record for the fastest men's marathon on Canadian soil, the fastest women's marathon on Canadian soil, and the fastest Canadian marathon on Canadian soil. In 2014 it raised over $3.6 million for 173 local charities.
The Waterfront marathon is a Boston qualifier, and gives power walkers a chance with its 6 hour time limit. This is one of Canada's best destination marathons and must run for any marathoner.
