The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure unites a collective of Canadians who are a force-for-life in the face of breast cancer. With the support of that collective, the Canadian Cancer Society funds breast cancer research, compassionate support services, trusted cancer information and advocacy with funds raised each year.

Almost $414 million has been invested in ground-breaking breast cancer research by the Canadian Cancer Society and former Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation combined over the last 25 years.

CIBC Run for the Cure events are held every fall in 57 locations across Canada, and feature both 1k and 5k distance options. Canadians are encouraged to join or start a team, or participate as an individual.

Beginner Runner Training Plan

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.

Become a runner in 12 weeks with the free None To Run training plan!
