Race Information
The Berlin Marathon is an annual 42.195 km race held in Berlin, Germany, and is one of the six World Marathon Majors. The course is known for being fast and flat and has been the site of several world record-breaking performances. The marathon attracts around 40,000 runners from over 130 countries, making it one of the largest marathons in the world. The race takes runners past some of Berlin's most iconic landmarks, including the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Cathedral. The Berlin Marathon was first held in 1974 with just a few hundred runners but has since grown into one of the most prestigious marathons in the world.
