In Cold Mud 5K, presented by Beech Mountain Parks & Rec Department, happens on Beech Mountain's Wild Iris Trail. There's Cold Mud on Beech Mountain year-round, and summertime temperatures barely reach 80! In Cold Mud was a collective effort between the Tourism and Development Authority and the Parks & Recreation Department. Now more than ever, everyone sees the importance of outdoor recreation in daily life to keep stress down and happiness high. The Parks & Rec team is fortunate to be able to share Beech Mountain's beauty and get everyone outdoors!
