Strides for Africa is a fun and family-friendly event for all ages to participate in and help make a global impact. StridesforAfrica.org is holding an in-person event in downtown Madison at McPike Park in Madison to kick off Africa Fest. Many options are available to participants, including a 5K run, a 5K walk, a unique Team Relay (simulating rigors of gathering water in rural Africa), a 1.5-mile fun walk, and a kids' fun run.
StrideforAfrica.org's clean water, education, and health give-back projects in Africa provide participants with a unique opportunity to see positive outcomes within impoverished rural African communities. These outcomes include improved health, empowered youth, and ultimately transformed rural African communities. On the local level, their work provides an outlet for participants and supporters the opportunity to be global citizens.
Run Pick of the Month - Bellin Women's Half Marathon & 5K
This women-focused event is held in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 5, 2024.
Get inspired and celebrate sisterhood at the Women's Inspiration Dinner on Friday night with keynote speaker Olympic Marathon medalist Deena Kastor.
