Ron Moeser Memorial Fun Run
The West Rouge Sports and Recreation Association hosts the Ron Moeser Memorial Fun Run (formerly known as the West Rouge Fun Run) - a 5k and 10k course that winds along the waterfront trail in the east end of Toronto.
Starting at Rouge Beach, the run follows the beautiful waterfront trail to Highland Creek and back. This family-friendly event awards prizes for the top finishers by age, gender and event (5k walk, 5k run, 10k run). Each participant receives a personalized certificate showing their standing (top 3 in event) or participation.
Beginner Runner Training Plans
Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!
In 3 workouts of 30 minutes or less per week, None to Run will take you from ground zero to running comfortably for 25 minutes straight.
None to Run is different from most beginner plans:
- Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
- Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
- Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.
If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.
Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
