Montera Middle School PTO will be hosting a 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk to raise funds for school supplies, technology, or programs that fall outside the school budget with the goal of building an inclusive school community where all can learn and thrive.The trail race starts and finishes in the Meadow area of Joaquin Miller Park and offers a low entry fee.
Grab your shoes, family, and friends and enjoy a day out in nature, while supporting Montera Middle School (an Oakland Public School). Can't run or walk that day? Consider doing a virtual run on your own or donating instead. This family-friendly event is for a great cause and will raise money to help support public education.
Run Pick of the Month - The Donut Fun Run
Enjoy a timed, donut-themed 5k race on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Taking part at Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Promenade, you'll run past epic views of San Francisco Bay and the Seaplane Lagoon Naval Ships.
Celebrate post-run with the Donut Festival, featuring live music, live entertainment including The Dancing Donuts, food booths, wine and beer, photo ops, and of course, donuts from Donut Petit.
Battle it out after the race in the donut eating contest, with the first prize winner taking away $1000! You must have completed the race to enter!
