40 for Fortey is a running event held in Toowoomba every year in memory of Police Officer Senior Constable Brett Forte who lost his life in the line of duty on 29th May 2017. All profits from the event are donated to Qld Police Legacy. The main event is the 40km event which can be completed individually or as a team. Teams can consist of 2-10 members, run relay style. 10 x 4km loops. Prizes are awarded to fastest 40km overall, fastest 40km solo, fastest lap (male & female). There is also a 4km Remembrance Event which you can walk or run. Over $63,000 has been donated to Qld Police Legacy since the inaugural event in 2018.
