Each year West Point residents select a local family with great financial need - cancer patients, children with disabilities or extreme hardships to receive the proceeds of the 1 mile walk or 5k fun run the morning of Thanksgiving. There is also a bake sale, raffle-style products and an auction for a live turkey!
