Race Information

Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP) is excited to continue growing its impact. Their mission is to end and prevent child abuse and neglect in Montgomery County through legal services, advocacy, and education. The annual MCAP Heroes on the Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Walk takes place at Norristown Farm Park, and more than 200 runners and walkers are expected at this family-friendly event, which will feature breakfast, face painting, giveaway music, and more! For over two decades, MCAP has been a lifeline for more than 11,600 children impacted by abuse, neglect, and trafficking, maintaining a 100% acceptance rate so that every child referred to them receives representation. Each child is paired with a dedicated attorney who ensures their voice is heard in the legal system. In addition to providing direct legal services, they offer education and advocacy programs that raise awareness and strengthen prevention efforts throughout the community.
