AG Run for a Reason 5k's is for Angel, an 11 year old and who was born with Spina Bifida. He has a transitional Lipoma that is intertwined in his spinal cord with a Lipomyelomingocele and neurogenic bladder. Angel has had annual appointments since birth to monitor this issue. He is not able to sleep on his back and his spinal cord is tethering due to the Lipoma. Angel will undergo a 5 hour surgery and spend time to recover at Primary Children's hospital. This surgery is critical and without this surgery Angel could lose mobility in his legs as well as loss of function to his bladder. His parents were told that he would not walk and would have many limitations, but Angel has overcome all of the things they said he wouldn't do. Support Angel with this race!
