The Old First Ward Shamrock 8K Run is a popular annual race celebrating the spirit of St. Patrickβs Day in Buffalo. Held at the Old First Ward Community Center, the race features a certified 8K course (approximately 5 miles) through one of Buffalo's historic neighborhoods. Participants of all ages and abilities can join, with awards for the top overall finishers, as well as for masters, local police officers, and age groups ranging from 14 & under to 80 & over.
