Race Information
Join in celebrating the life and memory of Corey S. Thompsen – a beloved husband, family member, friend, and Illinois State Trooper who passed away in the line of duty at 28 years old. Corey was an avid runner, earning his varsity letter in cross country and track all four years at St. Joseph-Ogden High School. He competed for both Western Illinois University and Danville Area Community College. The Trooper Thompsen Memorial 5k will be a fitting event to carry on Corey's love of running and community. Join the 5k at Woodard Family Park and enjoy a beer tent, 50/50 raffle, and silent auction. Proceeds will go to a scholarship fund in his memory.
