Race Information
The Heroes Trail Run & Ruck takes you through the scenic trails of Healing with Horses Ranch, located along Gilliland Creek on the eastern-most edge of Austin’s District 1. The 5K course weaves through a mix of terrain. Participants will encounter a variety of natural surfaces, shaded tree-lined paths, open stretches, and light elevation changes. The race features chip-timing and finisher medals, with options for walkers, runners, and ruckers alike. After the race, enjoy music, food, vendors, a raffle, and even meet the horses who support the Ranch’s mission. All proceeds benefit free equine-assisted services for veterans and first responders in the greater Austin area.
