The “12K’s of Christmas – Southern New Mexico” invites runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate the holiday season along the scenic La Llorona Trail in Las Cruces, New Mexico. With options including a 12K, 6K and 1.2K walk, the event welcomes costumed participants (including pets) and emphasizes festive fun, community spirit and charitable giving—proceeds support local animal-rescue efforts, and the event has raised substantial funds and found homes for hundreds of pets over the years.
