Race Information
The Thumbs Up Vertical Challenge course at the Thumb Open Space trail is a 2km out and back with 540ft of ascent. The terrain is 100% single track switchbacks, steps and steep rocks. Runners will ascend the trail, and at the turnaround, they must collect a poker chip to bring back to the start and deposit this in their assigned jar. The race starts at 8am, and by the finish at 4pm, poker chips will be counted to determine placing. Unique patches will be awarded according to the the participants' milestones (i.e., the number of ascents), and a special award will be given to the winner.
