Race Information

The Snake Hill Backyard Ultra is a time-based trail running event in Sundre, Alberta. Runners complete a 6.7 km loop every hour, on the hour, through the rooty, rocky, muddy, and leg-testing trails of Snake Hill. When the hour resets, you start again. Miss the start, and your race is over. Run one lap or run all day during the 12-hour event window. This event is ideal for experienced trail runners and those curious about the backyard ultra format. The focus is on personal challenge, community, and fun on technical trails. Only fully paid registrations by the deadline are guaranteed an event shirt and a goodie bag. All proceeds support the Sundre Bike n’ Ski Club and local trail maintenance.
