Once Upon a Run is a storybook-themed 5K run and 1-mile walk, benefiting the Friends of Newtown Public Library. Storybook costumes are encouraged, with the best storybook costume prize awarded. The paved road course travels through a suburban campus and nearby neighborhoods. Costumes, a festive parade, and a lively post-race celebration round out this community-focused event.
