Race Information

Race Judicata is an annual 5k run/walk organized by the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Anchorage Bar Association with proceeds benefiting the Anchorage Youth Court. The course begins at Bootleggers Cove at Westchester Lagoon. The entry fee includes a t-shirt with a custom logo design and drinks and snacks. This is a family-friendly event, but please leave your furry friends at home. Kids under 10 are free, but donations are encouraged.

A bit about the Anchorage Youth Court: Anchorage Youth Court (AYC) is a diversionary program for youth in grades 7 through 12 who are accused of breaking the law to be judged by their peers. Local youth take on the roles of attorneys, judges, bailiffs, clerks, and jurors during the trials. Anchorage Youth Court members develop and apply an understanding of the law through legal education, Anchorage Youth Court Bar Association membership, and actual participation in AYC court hearings.
