Race Information

The Not Since Moses 5k and 10k runs are one of the most unique in North America. At low tide the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia is clear enough to become a running course. Expect fun times and a muddy experience! The 10k course begins at Soley Cove, and the 5k and Basket Run are at Sand Point in Five Islands. You'll run across a tidal river and out onto the exposed sea bed. Your view will include the magnificent cliffs of Nova Scotia normally only seen by boats.

Runners are bused to Sand Point where they'll begin the course.

You can choose to run or walk the 5k but must run the 10k due to the amount of time it takes to complete the course. Organizers do not wish for anyone to get stranded when the tide comes in on the 10k course.

This is a chip-timed run, so if you're looking for a PB challenge consider participating in Not Since Moses.

Beginner Runner Training Plans

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

In 3 workouts of 30 minutes or less per week, None to Run will take you from ground zero to running comfortably for 25 minutes straight.

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
