2026 Miami Backyard Ultra

Race Information

Miami Backyard Ultra brings the traditional backyard ultra format to Miami.

Runners complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour. Finish the loop within the hour, recover with whatever time remains, and return to the starting corral for the next one. The race continues until only one runner remains and successfully completes the final yard.

Set at the Miami Marine Stadium Basin, MBU is built for everyone from experienced ultrarunners competing to be the Last Runner Standing to runners looking to discover a distance they’ve never reached before. Your goal might be your first ultra, 50 miles, 100 miles, or simply one more yard than you thought possible. Everyone shares the same course, the same clock, and the same rules. One yard. Every hour. How far can you go?
