Sacramento, California, United States

Sep, 2026 (TBD)

4mi, 10mi

Race Information

The Buffalo Stampede 10-Mile Run/Walk is the race that kicked off Sacramento's road-racing tradition. Now celebrating over 50 years, the Stampede also features a 4-mile run/walk. Both courses travel through Sacramento's River Park neighborhood. The 10-mile course also includes the levees along the American River and the Guy West Bridge.

As the sister race to the Urban Cow Half Marathon, the Buffalo Stampede is the perfect training distance for this great event, and for your other fall half-marathons. So don’t miss out! It is one of the five events the Buffalo Chips Running Club sponsors each year, including the free Fourth of July Five Mile Run in River Park, Susan B. Anthony Women's 5K, Jed Smith Ultra, and Willow Hill USATF Cross Country.
